If you are fond of Sheesha and craving for good fish in Noida the place to head for is Quesa Lounge in Sector-18 which has recently moved here from Sector-50. There might be a little difficulty in tracking the lounge but the team over the phone is happy to help and take you to it’s doorstep, to save you from the same i can say its just ahead of Barista or maybe just on top of Colourplus showroom in Sector 18.
The place is small but has been done really well by the owners, the first floor is well-lit and gives a soothing green aura all around while the 2nd floor is more lounge like dark and relaxed. I took the 1st floor as I was more inclined towards the food as compared to sheesha, tried the Vertical Horizon sheesha which is their personal connotation of mint, berries and orange it leaves a great citrus on the aftertaste its pungent yet not choky as you would mostly find in strong laced flavors. A Strawberry Cheesecake Shake makes a great soothing combination to keep your throat moist as it would be required.
Without much wait I headed for the appitizers which were Fish Fingers, Grilled Chicken Strips & Stuffed Mushrooms. The fish is a starry surprise from the Lounge, done very well thick long pieces accompanied with Tartar sauce and Potato wedges fried to perfection, Button Mushroom wrapped with cottage cheese and come with a tangy sauce or should I say hot sauce if you’ve got the taste for it. The chicken plays a nice dubious act under the word grilled as it comes fried, laced with good amount of oil.
Next up was Chicken Paprika salad which is good load of healthy greens diced with chicken and rolled with vinegrette and coupled with a few garlic bread. There’s a nice paprika heat in the salad although I wish the lettuce used in the salad was fresher. The order spree wasn’t over yet and I headed for Clubhouse sandwich and Chicken Steak Burger, The sandwich was a grave mistake as I had clarified I was not looking for pork but still was plated with same (maybe it was simple performance pressure) and was shot back to kitchen although the burger makes up for it with a great thick and fresh patty where you can feel the chicken lard melting to glory in your mouth.
If most of the usual Italian stuff is already too much for you then you should try the Indo-Italian fusion of Butter Chicken pasta which is sumptuous chicken and Penne loaded in gravy of butter and tomato. Wish to look further east then go for Nasi Goreng the very Indonesian fried rice which a lot of people confuse to be malay rooted. Although I couldn’t move ahead without giving the due respect to grilled fish in lemon and butter which is lovely Supremes laced in lemon butter. The ending notes of Chocolate Fondue were not the finest as the chocolate was lighter than expected and had only apple from fruit section, a little mix of strawberries and pineapple would have done the trick.
Verdict– This is a total value for money place which does great pasta, sheesha, shakes and fish, minuscule changes can be the game changer for them. The total PLF (Pocket Loosening Factor) for all the above is around 2500 excluding taxes.
